David Guetta in München
Gestern war ich bei der Show von David Guetta in der Olympiahalle in München. Ein geiles Erlebnis, nicht nur wegen der Musik und der Stimmung! Die ganze Show hat mich sehr inspiriert, v.a. in Bezug auf die Art, wie bei der Show mit Licht umgegangen wird. Die Lightshow bezieht einen direkt mit ein, auch, wenn man nicht vorne in der tosenden Menge steht und tanzt, sondern eigentlich Sitzplätze hat. Denn auch hier: Stimmung durch und durch!
Eine Erkenntnis habe ich erlangt: David Guetta ist mittlerweile Mainstream geworden. Das meine ich nicht negativ, sondern im besten Sinne des Wortes: er erreicht die Massen (bleibt nicht in irgendeiner Subkultur verhaftet). Für uns Kreative ist das nicht unwichtig, denn Mainstream wirkt sich aus auf die Arbeit, die wir täglich machen. Für Events, Shows, Filme, Zuspieler und anderes ist es wichtig zu wissen, was gerade angesagt ist. Egal, ob man etwas ganz zeitgemäß mit aktueller Musik gestaltet oder genau das Gegenteil, etwas im Retrostil, kreieren möchte und, es ist immer wichtig, informiert und auf dem neuesten Stand zu sein.

Yesterday I was at the show of David Guetta in the Olympiahalle in Munich. An amazing show, not only because of the music and the atmosphere!
The whole show was very inspiring, primarily relating to the way they handled the lights. The light show involves one, even if you weren’t in front in the roaring crowd but actually had seats. Because here too: Great mood!
I gained a knowledge: David Guetta has now become mainstream. I mean this not in a negative way but in the best sense of the word: He reaches the masses (and doesn’t stay stucked in any subculture). For us creatives this isn’t unimportant because mainstream affects the work we do everyday. If you design an event, a show or a film and other things, it’s important to know what the up-to-date mainstream actually is. Regardless of whether you create something very contemporary with current music or the opposite, something old-fashioned in vintage style, it’s always important to be informed and up to date.
